Heart Disease, America's Number One Killer - Childhood Obesity
Posted by Stephanie at Thursday, February 07, 2008 Labels: addiction, America's Number One Killer, American Heart Association, artery clogging, Best Weight Loss Diet Programs, BMI, Childhood Obesity, healty, Heart Disease, Jump Rope For Heart, strokeWeight loss seems to be a struggle for nearly everyone, and it gets worse with every passing year. It not only affects adults, children too are rapidly becoming addicted to greasy, artery clogging foods that are packing on the pounds causing childhood obesity.
Between the year 1962 and 2000, the number of obese Americans grew from 13% to an alarming 31% of the population.*
-- 63% of Americans are overweight with a Body Mass Index (BMI)of 25.0 or more.
-- 31% are obese with a BMI of 30.0 or more.*
-- Childhood obesity in the United States has more than TRIPLED in the past two decades. *
-- According to the U.S. Surgeon General report obesity is responsible for 300,000 deaths every year. *
Heart Disease is the number one killer in America. With the statistics above, America is heading down a path of self-destruction that is going to plague generations to come. With all of our "super-sizing" and our addiction to deep fried everything, we are teaching our children deadly eating habits that are going to take most of us to an early grave if we don't do something about it soon! It just seems like we are all set up for failure.
How can we possibly succeed in our efforts to be healthy when every time you turn on your television you have some fast food restaurant trying to suck you into their lare of death? Everywhere you go there are advertisements and food chains dedicated to emptying our wallets and clogging our arteries!
The only way to get out of this death trap is to make people aware of what they are doing to their bodies, and their children's bodies. The truth may hurt, but we need to wake up out of our ignorant slumber and learn the facts.
My son will be jumping rope to help the American Heart Association raise money to fight heart disease and stroke. Can you help him, and our generations to come, by making a donation?
Ethan will be jumping rope along with children all over America to raise money to help stop this deadly killer! Along with jumping rope, they will be learning ways to keep their bodies healthy including excellent eating habits that will hopefully follow them the rest of their lives!

Canadian consumers have different dietary needs depending on the end-goal they want to achieve, such as disease prevention, weight control or overall healthier dietary lifestyle. On this principle, the Compliments Balance program was developed in partnership with the Heart and Stroke Foundation's Health Check program to provide consumers with healthier options for managing their personal diets. http://www.phentermine-effects.com
